The Southwestern United States, also known as the American Southwest, is the informal name for a region of the western United States. It usually refers to the west coast region of the US encompassing various beautiful cities, such as Las Vegas, Los Angeles and San Diego as well as the famous Arizona desert. It is also very closely located to the southern neighbor of the US, Mexico. The region is also the home to various world-famous natural beauties and tourist attractions, such as the Grand Canyon, Nevada Desert, Silicon Valley, Hollywood, Disneyland and Universal Studios.
